The needs and concerns of South Carolina residents and the business community shape Walker’s work every day. He stands with the people and businesses of our state, working hard to build stronger families, safer neighborhoods, and a more robust economy.
With direct feedback and input from a constituent advisory council, residents and stakeholders from around the district, and the business community, Walker will continue to focus on policies that improve the quality of life for all South Carolinians and move our state forward.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
South Carolina must create a business climate that encourages investment, creates quality jobs, and provides families with the opportunity to grow financially. Economic development and environmental preservation go hand in hand. Businesses must act as responsible stewards of our natural resources while pursuing growth that is thoughtful, sustainable, and beneficial to communities.
The state of South Carolina should also remain committed to advancing clean energy and green jobs that strengthen the economy while safeguarding the environment.
PUBLIC SAFETY
Residents deserve to feel safe and secure as they live, work, and thrive in our state. Public safety relies on the Legislature providing the resources and support needed for the State Law Enforcement Division, local sheriff’s departments, and first responders.
These agencies play a vital role in protecting life, property, and the overall well-being of our communities.
RELIABLE ROADS & STRONG INFRASTRUCTURE
Like many parts of South Carolina, District 22 is experiencing rapid growth that brings new traffic, transportation, and safety challenges. Addressing congestion, improving mobility for drivers and cyclists, and ensuring roads and bridges are safe require coordination at every level of government.
While local governments can tackle portions of this work, the state plays a vital role in reducing congestion, protecting the environment with reduced pollution, and maintaining the infrastructure that supports economic growth and safe communities.
